I unfortunately was uninsured, but financially could not get charity assistance. I had a $2000 ER bill that I could not afford. Ok. This must be the longest long shot I've ever taken, but after the past month, I'm willing to take a stab at anything humanly possible. I am 22 years old. I am just a normal girl who decided it was time to move out of her parents house. Not that I didn't love being there, but it wasn't their job to take care of me anymore. I have been at the same job since high school; I recently became full-time. I make $10 an hour, which isn't much but is enough to pay rent at my crappy apartment, pay the electric bill, & buy food. The food part gets tricky; I have become very fond of ramon noodles with a slice of cheese. I have a $1,010 dollar student loan that I pay the standard $50 minimum payment on per month. Last May, after some occasional stomach discomfort, I decided to see a Dr. After over $2,700 in medical bills, I have been told I have Focal Nodular Hyperplasia...a nice way of saying,'hey you have some tumors on your liver but you're alright.' I pay $175 a month to a collection agency to slowly get them paid off. I now have insurance, but I was uninsured at the time. Now, today, after hearing some minor scraping while hitting the brakes on my 07 PT Cruiser, I have found out that many things on my car have decided to give me trouble. If I knew the exact term, is surprise myself, but after paying for new brakes and rotors, they tell me my radiator fan isn't blowing. He may as well have been speaking German to me, because all I heard was 'ching, ching.' As sure as the sky is blue, I need 800 dollars to fix this. You sometimes can't see the forest for the trees.Don't be blinded by the materiel world and how thing may appear.The world and the devil we try to bluff you out your blessing.When things look there worst and seem to just go wrong then,look a little deeper and don't miss that blessing thats already there that you don't see or just around the corner!The rule of thumb is the stronger the resistance seems the closer the blessing!!!

V.Testify to others---

Freely you we're given so freely share your blessing with others.
This is the most Important step.We can't be shady and hide our light under a bush...we must hold it up for others to see.Not only does this builds the faith of others but, makes a positive atmosphere of blessing and goodwill in the dog eat dog world that would stamp out spiritual miracles!

It's deffaniately not like America in most of the country, to much corruption. Just have him keep his eyes open and when someone says duck they aren't talking foul.The one being potty trained, I'm not touchig that with a ten foot pole.You are probably right about the girls, when any kid and I mean any is quit for any length of time count on trouble of some sort.

On the night before Thanksgiving my mother was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for nausea and pain in her chest. The doctors inserted a main line cath into her neck so that they could start her on dialysis as her kidneys were shutting down, and attempted to insert a balloon pump for her heart. That day she had a massive heart attack. They immediately moved her to the DeBaky Heart Center at the Texas Medical Center and as soon as they felt she would survive it, a few days later they performed a triple bypass on her. She was very weak and was in that hospital for over three weeks. Every time they tried to move her out of ICU she would relapse and she would have to go back into critical care. Finally after several weeks of this, we spent Christmas with her in the ICU, they deemed her ready to be moved to a rehab center closer to home. This was a couple of weeks into January, by this time the hospital bills were reaching astronomical levels even with Medicare and insurance. In the meantime, my dad retired, after 40 years. Their insurance runs out at the end of January. Mom was in the rehab center for three days when she started having breathing problems, she was rushed back to the hospital by ambulance. At first they thought it was pneumonia and started treating her for that, they then found that her lungs were filling with fluid and that her heart was in a-fib, at this point she's been in ICU again for a week. They are doing dialysis on her on a daily basis, they surgically inserted a main line catherter, she was on a respirator for several days and then yesterday morning they cut into her throat and put in a trach tube. The doctors say that she has a very good chance at recovery but we have no idea how much longer she will be in the hospital. And when she does finally get home she is going to need skilled nursing care while she rehabilitates. If you could help us in any way we would be so appreciative. I want to give my mother every chance possible to pull through this. We still have the Christmas tree up with the presents under it so that when she comes home, however long that may take, we can celebrate it with her. Please help us do this, we love our parents so much and it's breaking our hearts to see them struggling financially at what should be a hapoy, carefree time of their lives.  in response to bookworm2011...   My family doesn't like it when there are no snacks either, but I have weaned them off of them almost entirely now, because, the truth is, it won't hurt them to not eat sweets. In fact, sugar is the major cause of most sickness, since it is poison, and kicks the heck out of our immune systems! I'm so glad the green tea and stevia help you! It IS hard to remember to drink all that water, since you are a busy lady! Hang in there and it WILL come off!

That happens to me every once in a while too..I got a little bummed because the past two days I saw an increase of 6 ounces but then realized that I had stopped drinking all the water..I made myself drink the required glasses today and we will see what the scale says tmw..Ive found drinking some green tea with the sweetner completely takes care of any cravings when I cook for my family. I tried to eliminate boxed and packaged sweets so I must endure the baking treats for them since Im the one who got myself into this by telling them they need to eat healthier, homemade snacks! My daughter is 21 with no job(because of her disease) and no health insurance. She has chronic ulcerative colitis and has been suffering with it since she was 13 years old. She finally found a Dr. that referred her to a surgeon and he wants to do a total colectomy. This means he will remove her entire colon. Like I said, she has no insurance and has been hospitalized in the past 2 months for a 6 day period. Her hospital bill is 14,700.00 and now she's facing another hospital bill with surgery. Is there any help out there to assist in the payment of these bills? My husband and I are doing everything we can to help with the costs, but it's not putting a dent in the totals. If there was anything else we could possibly do to help her, we'd go to the ends of the earth to do so. We need help with this matter soon or she is going to face the "collection" agency. Any advise on help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of people here who need help so I'm not terribly hopeful, but here goes. I am mentally ill. I have type II bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder which partially manifests as hoarding disorder. I have hoarded objects, not animals. I have 5 cats, which some may think is "a lot of cats" but it does not qualify as animal hoarding. I am working on the hoarding problem but it is an uphill battle. Sometimes I do better than others.
In spite of my mental illness, I do work. I make well above minimum wage, as I make $17 an hour. I work 32 hours a week. This is about all I can do without it making me extremely depressed or physically sick. I also have fibromyalgia and sciatica as well as asthma and mild hypertension.
I fall into a marginalized category. Because I make the salary I do, I do not qualify for food stamps. However, once taxes and insurance are taken out of my pay, I only take home about $1400 a month. I am in an upside down mortgage in a mobile home and my credit is damaged. Thus refinancing seems to be out of the question--no-one will touch me. Between mortgage and lot rent, I pay $1100 a month.
My mother has helped me out for several years with utility bills. I do not eat much except at work. I get things like cheese whiz and crackers and canned fruit juice or jello that does not need refrigeration when I am at home as I do not have a working refrigerator.
Last year my mobile home incurred very bad damage when the water heater started leaking and I didn't know it until my son realized that the carpet in the hall was wet. The walls and floors of 3 rooms had to be removed. Overall the repairs cost over $20,000. My mother helped out with this. But she is stuck with my late father's medical bills and really can't help any more. I am ashamed to ask her for help anyway.
I do not have working plumbing except in the bathroom sink. Fortunately I am able to shower and wash my clothes at work. I do not have much in the way of furniture but I'm not so worried about that.
I still owe $43,000 on this horrible 15% mortgage, which I have had for 10 years. The original mortgage was $45,000. You can see that I am mostly paying interest. I am in a no-win situation.
I just got through paying off a bunch of payday loans that I had to take out when I was doing a month unpaid internship to obtain my LPN license last April. I also maxed out my credit cards. I still owe about $1200 in credit card bills. This destroyed my credit, which I had worked very hard to build back up to a passable score.
I have medical issues which I have not been able to afford to take care of and I have not been to a dentist in 6 years.
I feel very depressed most of the time and think about suicide every day. I am not a lazy person but I have had a lot of barriers to my success in my life.
It seems that if I had nothing at all there would be some resources from me. But since I am working and have this mobile home I fall into the Twilight Zone where no-one can or will help me.

 in response to georgette7...   Thanks, Georgette. I do think it helps when people can see it is a real need, and that it goes directly to pay that need, instead of just a random person's account. Scammers have been here and tricked people into giving them lots of money in the past. We've lost many good contributors because of that. When new contributors join, and ask me how to tell which people have real needs, a good rule of thumb is seeing that some needs are real and having proof (like when the bill is paid directly.) so you have a good point.

 in response to georgette7...   What I am saying is that money is not often exchanged here in any way (direct gifts, grants, paying of bills, etc...) I understand you are asking for tax help. Everyone seems to be struggling right now, especially this time of year. Many are disabled, homeless, have no food, etc....
We have no idea which contributors happen to be reading the posts and are financially able and willint to help. Sometimes this does happen, but most of the time, we try to swap helpful info, resources for help through different organizations, etc...(usually the people who need help the very most are helped in those cases)
We have no access to any cash other than whatever we each earn via our own jobs.
Many times people have the misconception that we work for a large corporation and are able to distribute funds from a large account.

Some have been given cash assistance by other members, but mostly I see people giving one another support and information.
